Farmers are trained to develop food forests that combine trees poultry and crops such as legumes, tubers, groundnuts and small grains. These systems improve soil biodiversity, reduce erosion, increase water retention, and provide additional sources of food and income.
By strengthening ecosystem services such as pollination and carbon sequestration, agroforestry contributes to climate resilience while supporting sustainable livelihoods and long-term environmental restoration in rural communities.
